OpenCore conference appearances in 2018 and other updates

This is just a quick update on what's happening and what's new with OpenCore in 2018.

Conferences

We'll be giving talks at at least three different conferences this year:

• Sönke will be talking about Kafka Security at the Berlin Buzzwords conference today (11 June 2018) at 12:20!
• Lars will be talking at the sister conference FOSS Backstage on Wednesday 13 June 2018 about his experience in the open source world in a talk called The Hateful 20
• Last but not least: On Thursday September 27 2018 Lars will be giving a talk on Open Source ETL: Apache NiFi at the data2day conference in Heidelberg, Germany

Training

As of this year we're also offering Training courses on various topics. We're starting with a Hadoop & Big Data introduction, Kafka and HBase but have plans for more. We offer these publicly through our partnership with b.telligent as well as in-house.

The HBase course coincides with the release of the 2nd edition of Lars' HBase: Definitive Guide book and will cover HBase 2.0.

We also offer customized trainings, so if there's anything not covered here just let us know.
